Partnership with our parents and carers
We value the partnership and support of parents and carers to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment and to encourage each child’s holistic development.
Parental involvement produces measureable gains in a child’s holistic development. As we all know a parent or carer is a child’s first teacher. As a school we value and respect the relationship between a parent and child and welcome parents and carers as equal parties in their child’s education. Parents, carers and school have an opportunity to influence a child to live and enjoy a positive and fulfilling education experience. We believe that respectful caring bonds with our students and their families are the vital foundation for a wonderful school experience.
Our partnership with parents and carers is enhanced through parents evenings, coffee mornings and Friends of Crosshill social events.
We held our first parents evening of the academic year on Thursday 20 September, we were overwhelmed with the wonderful response from our parents who attended. If you were unable to attend our parents evening please do call school to arrange a meeting with your child’s teacher.
We also held an open morning for prospective students which was very well patronized on Thursday 20 September.
On Friday 28 September we held our annual coffee morning in aid of MacMillans Cancer Support. We were humbled how many parents and family members, governors and community attended. We raised over £100.00 for the worthy cause.
We will also be holding a Parent information coffee morning in future months. More information will follow in due course.
