Learning Support Assistant – Level 3
Salary: Band E, points 20 to 24 @ £10.54 to £11.88 per hour (for actual weeks worked) from 1 April 2019. Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2019.
32.5 hours per week Monday and Thursday 8:20am to 3:20pm, Tuesday 8:20am to 4:00pm, Wednesday & Friday 8:20am to 3:00pm term-time plus one additional week.
We are looking to appoint a suitably enthusiastic and/or experienced individual as a Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) for a fixed-term contract, at Crosshill School; starting as soon as possible.
LSAs will contribute to the development of a strong, effective school with an emphasis on aspiration and attainment, delivered through strong classroom practice and a fiercely held and demonstrated belief in the role of the school in developing citizens for the future. All staff will demonstrate those philosophies which characterise effective schools – a commitment to education, to the needs and rights of all pupils and to the development of the school’s community, with strong, mutually supportive relationships with parents, partner schools and the broader community. The school’s ethos will be that of achievement, aspiration, commitment, good citizenship and enjoyment.
LSAs will be responsible for supervising students both on a one-to-one and whole class basis, under the direction of the Classroom Teacher and the Senior Leadership Team; assisting with the management of students. Relevant experience and qualifications are applicable, applicants should have good communication skills and have the ability to relate well to young people.
