Friends of Crosshill Half Term Fun

Family Fun with Zoolab Animal Encounters

Friends of Crosshill organised another fun event for our families and community during the Spring Bank half term holiday

On 30 May 2018  the school hall had some “invited” guests. The event was fully booked with 30 Students, parents and their families enjoyed an afternoon with creepy crawlies. Every one had the opportunity to hold and handle the different creatures including Juliet the millipede, Eleanor the tarantula, cockroaches, rats, a snake, giant snail and were also introduced to a grumpy scorpion. Laura the animal ranger educated everyone all about the different species and our families enjoyed asking questions about them. Even our dubious parents and children became curious and brave and stroked and held the animals.

The afternoon was a great success with us all being educated whilst having fun and some people facing their fears. Watch out for more fun events being organised over the summer period. Don’t forget to book early as places are limited on activities and some events can be cancelled if places are not booked well in advance.
