Friends of Crosshill Family February Half Term Fun

Our families and community have enjoyed quality time over the half term

With activities organised over three days for all ages, abilities and tastes to join in.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances  our popular Family Let’s Get Cooking  morning had to be cancelled. However the Craft and cake morning on Wednesday and a visit from Welly Bobs Farm Road Show for our animal encounter day were a fanatastic success.

The families enjoyed a relaxing and therapeutic morning designing and creating beautiful vases and personalised mugs to take home followed self indulgence enjoying a cup cake and refreshments.

On Thursday was a morning of animal antics with all ages excited to meet different furry and feathered friends. Everyone was able to handle to animals and learned all about them from farmer Heath from Welly Bobs. Some of the children (and parents) enjoyed a good old kick around out in the play ground with football mad sheep dog Jack. In between petting the animals which included Sandy very friendly nanny goat, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoise and Jack the sheep dog families could enjoy making animal art crafts and doing animal quizzes and a warming cup of tea or coffee. Some of our children were reluctant to even stroke the animals at first but by the end were not just holding the animals, they didn’t actually want to leave them.

Watch out for our next animal encounter of a different type on 30 May at 1.30pm when we have Zoolab visiting during the Spring Bank half term holiday.

We also have more family fun organised during  the spring and Summer term and Easter including:
