Family Let’s Get Cooking Morning
On Wednesday 24 October 2018 Friends of Crosshill hosted another Let’s Get Cooking morning for our families
The menu theme was “Bonfire Night” and our families enjoyed creating a Catherine Wheel Toad in the hole and potatoes of their choice, Toffee apples and vintage chocolate chip cookies. It fantastic to see families advising each other and comparing their culinary delights. Brilliant when you saw their Yorkshire puddings rising over the tops of the dishes. It was like a science lesson watching the red toffee sauce bubbling away for the apples and getting to the right temperature to set and the tasty aroma of the cookies made your mouths water.
Our families enjoyed a relaxing brew and homemade cookie to complete the morning and took their prepared dishes home for the evening dinner.
Watch out for more Lets Get Cooking mornings in February half term and Spring Bank holiday. We will be having Parents choice menus with our parents sharing their family recipes from countries from around the world including Asian cuisine and American dishes.
