Friends of Crosshill Family Circus Skills
On Thursday 25 October 2018 Friends of Crosshill hosted another fun event for our families and community
Steve from Shooting Stars Circus School was invited by Friends of Crosshill to teach our families a few new tricks during the half term holiday.
Steve started the morning entertaining our families with magic card tricks. The morning was full of laughter with Steve’s silly jokes and stories and slap stick fun. Steve demonstrated how to and how not to do the different circus tricks. Everyone was able to have a go at the various tricks including balancing peacock feathers, juggling scarves, spinning plates and juggling the plates from their hands to the sticks and stilt walking. The morning was completed with everyone being able to choose their favourite skills and activities trying to perfect their new found talents.
In addition to circus skills being great fun it also helps with concentration, fine motor skills, mobility and develops patience and gives you a great sense of achievement when you find you have achieved something, no matter what age you are. We had grand parents through to babies joining in the fun today and everyone enjoyed socialising and helping each other.
We hope you have enjoyed our half term family events. We have many more events in the forthcoming months including:
