July has been a fun month with lots of different activities and trips for our students
to celebrate the end of the school year. Some classes visited the beach, Knowsley Safari Park and cinema. Some went for a cycle ride and picnic, some had train rides. Four students had an overnight stay in a caravan in Kendal and enjoyed canoeing and visiting the zoo.
Our learning outside the classroom trips have continued throughout July with trips to the allotment and train rides and the weekly sessions to Equine and Aqua therapy. Learning outside the classroom and practical lessons including cooking enhance our students understanding of Maths, English and Science but also help to develop their social skills and life skills. As parents you are also the prime educators and help with taking regular trips out with your child to local areas including library, shops, cafes, parks and taking rides on buses and trains and helping with chores around the house.
