Our post 16 provision provides a two year programme for young adults with an EHCP aged between 16-18.
The provision is based on its own site on Shadsworth Industrial Estate in Blackburn and currently provides a college provision for 20 pupils.
A huge emphasis of the curriculum at Post 16 is around preparation for adulthood, helping our young people to learn the necessary life skills that will help them going forward. As such, we spend a lot of our time outside of the classroom, taking part in activities and learning experiences in the local community. Our curriculum and preparation for adulthood sections provide an overview of some of the work we do to help our pupils develop their independent living skills.
